Privacy Policy

AI-Watch is committed to protecting your privacy. The extension has been designed with a privacy-first approach: all processing is performed locally, on your device. AI-Watch does not collect, transmit, store on a server, sell, or share any personal information.

What AI-Watch Does

AI-Watch inserts, locally, into your conversation’s message field, a block of temporal context — date, exact time, timezone, session length, time elapsed since your last message. This text is added to your own message, before you send it yourself to the AI service of your choice, including:

• ChatGPT
• Claude
• Gemini
• Perplexity
• Mistral, Grok, Open WebUI, Ollama, LM Studio, and any other compatible web interface.

The extension displays this context through a watch-inspired chip, directly on the conversation page. AI-Watch does not measure or record any usage duration, does not produce any daily, weekly, or monthly statistics, and does not track any usage history.

Data Collection

AI-Watch does not collect any personal data. The extension does not collect:

• names;
• email addresses;
• IP addresses;
• location data;
• browsing history;
• login credentials;
• payment information;
• device identifiers;
• any content entered into AI assistants.

Local Storage

To function correctly, AI-Watch stores the following information locally on your device only:

• your preferences (chosen dial, language, size);
• extension settings.

This information never leaves your computer. Uninstalling the extension removes it.

Data Transmission

AI-Watch does not send any information to external servers. No analytics, tracking services, advertising networks, or telemetry systems are used. You can verify this yourself: the source code is public on GitHub, and searching the content script’s code for fetch( or XMLHttpRequest returns no result.

Third Parties

AI-Watch does not sell, rent, transfer, or share user data with any third party.

Permissions

The extension requires certain browser permissions solely to provide its functionality:

• storage — stores settings and preferences locally;
• activeTab — detects supported AI assistant tabs;
• scripting — inserts temporal context on supported sites, only while you’re using it;
• site access (optional) — granted site by site, only when you explicitly choose to give a watch to an AI on that site.

These permissions are used exclusively for the extension’s intended purpose.

Security

Because all information remains on your device, users retain full control over their data.

If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page.
